I had a breakthrough with a friend this week. He was trying to cut, but he never went to bed hungry. If your body isn't hungry enough to eat itself, then it won't eat itself.

That doesn’t need to be the case unless you’re getting really lean. Most people can eat high volume low calorie foods (like vegetables) and feel pretty satiated

Hahaha wow this is SOOO much what I live by when cutting - dinner 5pm > 60 min walk after > sleep > workout > breakfast 10 am Get shredded 😈

I remember when I suddenly realized I’d never actually been hungry in 20 years and the idea of being “starving” was a mental hazard to allow. Being hungry is a feeling that needs to be remapped as a good feeling and great things can happen with your body

Agh, it’s more nuanced, but sure it will work. I cut twice a year. I simply swap in more reps & lighter weight at the gym… and then make sure I eat under 100g of carbs per day. It usually lowers my caloric intake by maybe 200-300 cal/day, too. I bump water intake. I’m rarely ‘hungry’ at night.
