Homemade pesto from my basil plant. 🌱🪴

•	basil
•	grated cheese (Romano gives it a nice bite)
•	garlic
•	nuts (pine, walnut, or whatever you’ve got)
•	salt
•	pepper
•	olive oil
•	squeeze of lemon for brightness

Mortar and pestle best, or your choice of spinning blade. 💚

I harvested my basil plant down to *almost nothing* less than 3 weeks ago. 

Now it’s back…And screaming at me: make pesto! 🌿 🪴

it’s such a pleasure growing a basil plant, it will survive and thrive no matter what. except maybe garden snails
