I love architecture and buildings. This comments in this thread below are a gold mine for NYC building history and fun facts. Most impressive is that the Woolworth building only took 20 months of construction to build in 1911-1912. Hard to imagine even a 5 story apartment building getting done in NYC in that timespan today. https://x.com/patrickc/status/1973857593199329288

Which is really too bad. I got to see a coffee shop emerge from an empty space in a mall within a week in China. Glass walls, plumbing, interior, the works from start to finish

Billionaires Row is this. They aren't the tallest by footage but are pushing the boundaries by footprint. Additionally, American suburbs are just as impressive but they are horizontal vs vertical.
