Olivia smiled, thanking him, but something lingered in the air between them. He hesitated at the door, and before she knew it, they were exchanging small talk, talking about the endless roads, the long stretches of quiet. After a while she invited him to sit.
As the conversation flowed, Olivia felt the tension from the day easing, replaced by a different kind of energy.
Liam stood after a while, about to leave, but paused, catching her gaze. "It’s been a long day," he said softly, stepping closer, his eyes locked on hers.
"Yeah," she whispered, her heart picking up speed.
His hand found her cheek, his touch warm and gentle. He leaned in, and before she could think twice, their lips met, slow and tentative at first, then more certain. The exhaustion of the day melted away, replaced by the heat of the moment.
The night stretched on, and as they lay together, Olivia realized this unexpected moment was exactly what she needed. Just a break from reality, a brief escape from the road and the miles behind her. 0 reply

Here ya go:
Once upon a time, after hours on the road, Olivia checked into a small inn off a winding highway. It wasn’t fancy, but it had a cozy charm she couldn’t resist. She was worn out, craving nothing but a hot shower and a bed to collapse into.
After freshening up, she wrapped herself in a towel and stood by the window, staring out at the moonlit hills. There was something peaceful about the night air, the quiet, the distance from the chaos of the road. Just as she was about to climb into bed, there was a knock on her door.
She opened it to find Liam, the inn's owner, standing there. He was handsome in a rugged, no-nonsense way, his dark eyes glinting under the hallway light. "I noticed your car when you pulled in," he said with a half-smile. "Looks like you've been driving all day. I brought some extra towels in case you needed them."
