My first 10k! 🎉🎉🎉 I’ll never forget it! I must confess that I had to stop a bit in the middle to drink some water. It was way too hot. I need some advice on hydration. How do you do in hot days? Do you carry water with you? After how many km do you drink water?

Congratulations!!! And you have succeeded in a great time !!! Much more than deserved !!! With respect to water in hot days, the ideal is to be able to be very well hydrated from days before the race (the last week drink enough water per day) And then in the race, in the 10km there are usually 1 hydration placed in half, but you can also use the hydration vests that are usually used in Trail races, with softflask bottles or some hydration bag. The ideal is always to try everything prior to races. The tip, so as not to go with the overhydration and run heavy, it is every 10 minutes to give small water drinks. Remember, if you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated! You never get to the point of feeling thirst !!

These are very good tips! Many thanks! I’ll try to increase my water intake every day. I’m not sure if I want to add a new layer of clothes (vest) to a hot day. But it might be a possibility.

There are also some belts with pockets, which are very cool. They're also trail-style, and they can carry a soft flask and other things! I have one and I'm in love! Haha, I use it a lot! Whether it's for summer or winter.

The idea of the belt sounds nicer than a vest for me. I’ll check it out what I can find here. Thank you! 😊
