It seems like Tucker Carlson has in-fact interviewed Vladimir Putin... Is this bad, good, horrible? Free speech vs. giving a stage to those who shouldn't have one?

Of course itโs bad. Putin has a platform to spread his lies, and delivers a polished message to appeal to parts of the west that wants the war to make sense. Tucker is a just useful idiot, motivated by attention than truth seeking.

To me it seems important to have some insight into the minds of significant world leaders. But we have to be aware that this will likely be heavily biased and full of propaganda. I donโt think that completely invalidates the interview though, but you have to read between the lines.

He is painting himself as some hero of free speech, when the reality is Putin has refused interviews with real US journalists. He agreed to talk to Carlon because Carlson is a pro-Russia MAGA grifter sowing division in the USA.

I think itโs good, depending on the quality of the interview But I also count 3+ lies in this monologue and multiple misnomers

Talking to people is good. The western world is built on that basis and part of great leadership, which, admittedly, we haven't seen for a while. Who should or should not have a stage is not for any individual to decide. What matters is availability of information. People can decide for themselves what they do with it.
