call me old fashioned but the ideal amount of physical, um boundary setting, needed to guide young men in the world is non-zero

this physical correction needs to come from a stranger as a consequence rather than a parent as a punishment

the fact this is illegal means soft men who, often rightly, think there are no consequences for their actions

not saying I know how to make this legal in a reasonable way that doesn't have it's own consequences but I imagine this can be done in smaller high trust communities

i think this is mostly bc people primarily communicate behind the safety of a screen, get too big for their britches, and then think that when they walk out into the real world they can just say the same without any consequences
