it's startup week this week in montreal and i've been corralled into participating in the founders poker game tomorrow night i am not good at poker. i do not play it often. i know very basic rules. i am assuming it'll be texas hold 'em but am not sure give me your best tips to help me save face :,)

There are a lot of midcurvers who know all the odds and everything. They get pissed when you make decisions based on things other than odds. My goal in the game is to piss those people off cause it’s the most fun. drive for the straight and flush draws. Check when you’re supposed to bet, etc.

Oh man, excited to hear the results. Two things to think about: - What does the other person have? - What are you gonna do about it? For #2, either folding early or being aggressive and betting big are best. Calling a lot to see what happens (and then folding to pressure) generally doesn’t pan out well. You got this!
