I think you can still be a techno optimist and still hope/expect for it to be developed as a way that genuinely improves humanity’s life quality and satisfaction 

Not all tech applications are good but its potential to fix a lot of issues that plague society is huge

It’s just dumb flashy shit that catches headlines like this that shows "just because you can doesn’t mean you should" 😂
