Some people believe Big Pharma suppresses cancer cures for profit. Truth is that if there was a cure for cancer, insurers (the ones footing the bill) would push it so hard and fast to reduce the billions they pay annually for cancer care. What do you think is holding us back?

I believe I saw the claim that, within a decade, solid mass tumors as a class of disease would be treatable via immunotherapy. PCR technology is making it possible to create bespoke genetic scripting that targets only the neoplasm. When it gets here, it will change the game. I believe melanoma and a few other common ones are already being treated this way to great effect and it gives me so much hope. We could still understand the metabolism better. We could do more to prevent cancer. We have a long ways to go to understand what makes a human body healthy.

There have been some incredible advancements with immunotherapy and indications like MM - there are certainly a number of great advancements coming down the pipe. That said, it isn't a silver bullet, things like bone microenvironment for bone mets are highly immunosuppressive which makes this not so viable as an option. That said, still a lot of great things in the pipe and there will be varied therapies for different indications
