I keep seeing people lamenting that the current system favors the OGs and hinders anyone new to the platform.

But if you look at who is actually on those leaderboards?

A lot of us are newbies who found a home that somehow just works for the way we do things and we're finally being blessed for simply being who we are in a place that welcomes us.

It just takes a clear niche, passion, consistency and a bit of tracking to see what is working

It’s easy to assume the system only benefits those who’ve been around the longest, but seeing newcomers thrive shows that it’s about finding the right space where you can be yourself. 
It’s encouraging to know that authenticity is being rewarded and that there’s room for fresh faces to succeed.. 
I found support n built genuine connections since I left X and embraced WC ✨

But if anyone who shows up within a month can earn the follows of those 50+ OG accounts, is it really that big of a deal? 

I have also earned the same follows in a fairly short period of time.

unfortunate side note to this: 

both of these top-tier mfer artists left farcaster when the introduction of power badges to replace the simple old “active badge” system happened, bc it felt very weird and uninviting and like they were not valued and their experience immediately became frustrating just trying to put there art out there on this platform. thats when i first started to become somewhat disgruntled, but chose to stick around myself jsut bc it happened to work out differently for me and i was obsessed enough abt certain things here. but im an outlier and a thick skinned weird; being a user should not require that.

That there are one or two outliers doesn’t mean that the statement does not hold true

This is not the right way to measure that
of course there will always be people that come gets the right eye once and the accounts blows. 
but have you compared how many users have left
how many onboarded and active vs how many left and inactive account

if a lot of people are saying it's hard to grow and they are leaving 
we should be taking that more seriously rather than trying to prove otherwise.

i say this cuz i care and i don't jump on a bandwagon like others
and kiss ass hoping i get a follow or something
