At least the EU is pushing Apple more towards allowing other stores.

Have you tried to get John Gruber on Farcaster? He dislikes X and says Mastodon and Threads is a great alternative. Not sure he has heard of Farcaster.

Big question is what will happen with the Apple side and if they will continue to be able to charge as much money as they currently do.
