Mark's a good guy, but this is not how I would frame things. I don't give a flying you-know-what about what gives degen gamblers "hope." I want government to stop trampling on my natural rights to transact privately, free from force & fraud.

Even in context, I think it's inane to defend 'cryptocurrency' on 'lottery ticket' grounds. It's wrong on every level. The vast majority of crypto marketcap is in BTC & ETH. Everything else is a nothingburger. Ppl can also gamble in penny stocks, yet we know total market index investing isn't a lottery ticket.

This wasn't (originally) a discussion about whether crypto was good or bad, it was about whether it cost the Dems votes. That's why it's framed that way

unfortunately it's the only way to speak to that crowd. you have to feign stupidity to bring them to say the truth
