I miss the heyday of Farcaster channels. Can't really blame anyone for not putting in the effort to keep channels lively when the future of channels remains in limbo, as it's a lot of work to do channels well. But it's sad to see them deteriorate. On the bright side, some people seem quite determined to keep their channels alive in spite of it all. (Shoutout to the /slowcore-hq members).

i agree and hope they find some sustainable, fulfilling way to do channels but at the same time i realize the good old days weren’t sustainable either /july and to a lesser degree /six is where i found my footing here. as user # skyrocketed there is simply no way the vibes of either were sustainable no matter how much curation work either namesake put in frankly they didn’t have to do TOO much curation work prior bc they established the tone and people generally followed suit. a bit of a convenient byproduct of smaller user #s but nearly impossible to maintain on full scale social network

same it seems like a worthwhile investment for growth especially when trying to onboard specific communities or groups
