i'd start from something you really want to do and figure out the building block behind that thing so you'll have an exciting goal and a simpler path to get there if you lmk what the first thing is i can help you with the second thing

also do not to treat it like an academic subject e.g. playing scales/drills or study chords/miusic theory for an X period of time per day, it will only bore you out.

biggest recommendation i can give is picking a song that you would love to be able to play. find a YouTube video and stick to it even if it takes a month or two to learn. the feeling you get when you first hear the song you love coming out of your guitar gets you hooked. Scales and all that stuff can come later imo :)

the most important thing about keeping up a passion for musical instruments is to find songs you enjoy (start with easy, but eventually progress to a 'just hard enough' state where you learn but do not get discouraged). many times i just sing along too

Congrats! What kind of guitar did you get? A good first guitar is an acoustic with nylon strings. One of the most common frustrations I've seen is getting a sore hand from tough strings, which makes it hard to keep practicing. even after a few weeks, you feel like you’re not making any progress if you can't practice long enough per session due to the wrong guitar/string setup.

Played guitar for 14 years, what got me into it was watching and consuming guitar content - top 10 guitar solos of all time, best acoustic guitar intros of all time etc, and then being enamoured with trying to learn it.
