15 years back, I got a guitar, inspired by my roommate who plays it well 

practiced a few weeks, but couldn’t keep it up

and now, I got a new guitar again. hoping this time would be different

if any of you got any tips/advice to a beginner please do share

biggest recommendation i can give is picking a song that you would love to be able to play. find a YouTube video and stick to it even if it takes a month or two to learn. the feeling you get when you first hear the song you love coming out of your guitar gets you hooked. Scales and all that stuff can come later imo :)
