I do think the reaction to Mamdani's victory is hilarious

I for one am very happy to see neo liberalism get beat, Feels good man

imho both elections were a reaction against the status quo and embracing of populism. Same momentum.

But the right and left's version of populism is very different in tactics.

And the narrative after the presidential election was " New York is moving right, trump even  gained big votes in new york city"

Seems like it’s the charismatic candidate/not politics as usual candidate that was appealing imo
