Insanely vivid. So many emotions crammed tightly into a condensed space, a singularity of writing. As @winberry so elegantly puts it, "Fuck this is fire." Two things leaped out at me on my journey of reading it, "Everybody keeps laughing like I will not soon watch my parents die." Followed closely by, "I need to stop time...." There is a song that spoke to me about stopping time, long enough to think, "to catch a breath" - to solve the unsolvable problem. And so I thought I would share it. Twenty One Pilots Pet Cheetah I hope you fing some time To stop time... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGMmSOsNAdc&list=RDVGMmSOsNAdc&start_radio=1

I was reading it as you casted back. FUCK this is fire. a vignette. a flash nonfiction. a prose poem. all at once. I fucking love it. there are so many raw human moments, specific and universal at the same time. I fucking love it. 🖤🖤🖤

In a way, the overwhelm you’re describing comes out through all the varied experiences. You can also try going into one experience more in-depth. Explore the feelings more of the “silences I’ve dwelled in…” What are those? What do they feel like? Not describing what happened, but what it felt like.

The inevitability of mortality — this piece resonates deeply with me because I’ve been stuck with similar thoughts for a while now, good writing.
