He might be a charismatic narcissist, idk. But I don’t think that precludes the possibility of him building something very valuable with his new company. I also think that the experience with WeWork probably makes him more likely to really want build it the right way and have that redemption arch. We shall see

Income inequality has a direct impact on long-term health outcomes experienced by all classes, per The Inner Level: how more equal societies reduce stress, restore sanity and improve everyone’s well being. Greater income inequality creates negative externalities: elevated healthcare costs and lower life expectancy. One path to potentially fixing this proposed in The Inner Level is co-ops and corporate structures that allow for greater employee ownership. Very fascinated with the co-op structure. What’s the best example of the successful implementation of this structure in the crypto space? Maybe a specific DAO?

Without watching the game, my assumption was that the refs played a role here, given the wide point disparity; interesting to hear you confirm this assumption. Were the refs only a factor in this way during Game 6 or in other games throuhout this series as well?

I’ve explored a few product ideas with Chat GPT and each time it provides 4-6 weeks as the minimum time to produce something that I can then get feedback on. Can’t imagine working on something for that period with zero input from customers

I read a bunch of Henrik Karlsson’s writing just before listening to this and it really enriched the conversation for me. Lots of noteworthy stuff from the pod and the writing but one that my mind keeps coming back to is how Henrik turned a $200k job offer to pursue his writing, and wrote in a room so cold that he couldn’t feel his fingers so that he could iterate towards a reality that’s an exceptionally good fit for him. Looking forward to checking out more of the Dialetic pod.

Tech irony that I just learned about: Signal launched on a $50m contribution from WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton, after he sold WA to Facebook. Meta money wound up birthing the gold-standard of private messaging.
