Superman was really good for a comic book movie, 7.5/10. My qualms were that it had too much going on at times, Lois wasn't a strong female foil (she was a strong independent woman in Superman (1978)), and they avoided his origin story which reboots gotta do.

To be honest I love the removal of his origin story, because looking at the line up Gunn has for the DCEU, origin stories would derail it. We have had too many Superman origin stories with no appropriate timeline for the Justice League movies that come out. So removing it, is going to set a precedent for the upcoming DCEU movies and going forward set everything into a timeline that would make sense along the line. I love what Gunn is up to there.

We really enjoyed it as well. Balanced action/comedy throughout. I’ve not followed the other versions closely, but I don’t get the shade thrown at David. He was good. Mr. Terrific, though, was…terrific.
