I would say Perplexity is great for research and academic level fact checking. It has mostly replaced search engines for me. It don't need to sift through multiple pages to put information together. Perplexity does this with high accuracy and gives sources/citations. It also excels in that it can basically process things in real time. Ask it about a current event that happened in just the last few hours and it will be able to produce a great answer.

With the Deep Research mode you export the final report to a PDF or document, or convert it into a Perplexity Page and share it.
