addressing your second issue, I would entertain sole proprietorship as the most inevitable size and shape of a random firm. then again, power law distribution would suggest some firms have so much capital that they resemble the actual "campus" that primary education aspires to.

to the first issue, isn't this already an actuality? college enrollment is down. GDP is more dependent on "management, professional, and related occupations" than ever before. it's obviously inflated.

the kid who's fast-tracked to Electrician, LLC has better job security than, say, legal counsel in the Russell 3000. public educators want the association of "better educated", but wouldn't that inherently be inverse to "more employed" in unfettered capitalism? it's an albatross of a premium.

socially-constrained capitalism will still be around for years, if not decades. but labor crunches where problems are real and unsolvable by the consumer.

2 specific issues

First is more homeschooling = less active labor market participants and unless the homeschooling is done by dad (I don’t have data on this) we’re maybe losing a decent chunk of the better educated half of the workforce (based on past few decades of college trends) which translates to loss of gdp directly 

Second is more an overall capitalism point of education in the age of ai

We think more jobs will be created but like… all these new firms will require fundamentally less people if our efficiency gains are realized like we think they will. Especially if power law distro of success still applies

power law of distribution still applies, so idk if number of firms has to blow up.

it all depends on how public curriculum adapts. if all kids are expected to pass a battery of constructive team exercises, if A.P. evolves into work placement, etc, then we'll be fine.

I hope so, but I imagine it’ll just stratify social classes even harder in the process, man

Depends on which ‘capitalists’. For some it means the same thing as always; is there enough money to eat, first and foremost. The learning comes with thereafter in some way. Often in many ways. Everybody has an educational story for sure. 👍 interesting topic
