Founders with international companies and employees, which HR system do you use to take care of payroll and benefits? I like the idea of Deel, but $599/month per FT employee just seems insane.

Hey Brian! I use Remote & Gusto. The high price at Deel is when you use them for Employee of Record. If you hire as Contractor, price is much lower. At one point I spoke to a NZ law firm about EOR vs contractor and Contractor was better for us and our hire. Just depends on the work. Feel free to DM with questions. 👍

We use Remote (good luck googling it! lol). Our COO knows the ins and outs, but afaik I think it’s worked well for us so far.

Amen. Spoke with them this week based on a referral from a COO frieind and frankly found the offering expensive, the cross currency exchange rate unclear, and their sales person dismissive of any actual questions.

We use Deel. You can also use Rippling which now provides this. It’s expensive but they take care of compliance etc which is important

Deel and Pilot. Deel is expensive, but no issues using them for over a year in more than one country.
