I want L3s to work so badly but I struggle to figure out the true problems they solve. We tried token launching (mint.club) and that really didn’t take off. Not enough liquidity to make things really pop. We tried NFTs (Rarible) and that really didn’t take off. As a collector, I dont want NFTs on an L3. The only way I can think of the DL3 providing enough value for me to want to move my $DEGEN over, is to have an incredibly bespoke experience on the L3, like hardware, like AI agents swarming, but even then I don’t know if that would make me use it. From our discussion a few months back, I still think L3s work best: 1) For apps that require a ton of transactions per second (cheap) 2) If the end user doesn’t know they’re using it (ux)

Rarible DEGEN NFTs are on Base, and Mint.club is doing well—growth takes time. Ultimately, I think the real value of an L3 like DEGEN Chain is giving builders exposure to the DEGEN community. That’s likely worth more than any small technical innovation in the long run.
