Based on the growing debt of the U.S., not clear how leaders stop the death spiral without either lowering interest rates or printing money. Smarter people please explain to me.

It's a good question. I don't have an answer but I did have a thought. Maybe it's time to expand the borders? Would one of their top trading partners going belly up unexpectedly provide an opening for such a move? Especially if it's a friendly partner with lots of resources? Just spitballing.

The printing must continue for any global reserve currency until the rest of the world decides it is no longer king. For the past 70 years the US did well from this but is now challenged as debt ๐Ÿ“ˆ and geopolitics shift. https://www.investopedia.com/financial-edge/1011/how-the-triffin-dilemma-affects-currencies.aspx

All is said. These coming years are going to be truly interesting as we reach the limits of an aging traditional society. Really curious to see how this will evolve! ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿง

Bonds always end up getting paid by one way or another. Seems fine for the temporary period of time where were finance is off-chain.

They could cut back on spending but its hard to agree on what we can cut back on Also, Omnibus bills make things difficult and are starting to be a common thing rather than voting up or down on specific issues Omnibus also make it easy to slide in amendments that may not pass on its own merit but the bill has to pass
