Random thought: Even if one day we learn how to upload our brains to “the cloud” - doing so wouldn’t actually extend our lives. Because an uploaded version of your brain will never be “you.” You can’t transfer your consciousness to it. So, it would only exist as another version of you.

Yes, The Matrix was inspired by this, but it raises much older questions about personal identity: whether it depends on your physical body, your experiences, the continuity of those, or something else.
