idk about elsewhere but in US there’s this obsession with calculus in high school such that other advanced math doesn’t really get taught. Abstract algebra, linear algebra, formal logic, etc lots of other avenues a student could potentially take that doesn’t necessarily require calculus as a prerequisite…

any formal logic would have been helpful. had to get all of that in college.

You had books in high school? Several classes in my high school were taught sans books, we had to listen to the teacher talking, and sometimes couldn't even take notes. It's a wonder I managed to graduate and go to university 😁

For me would be Mastery from Robert Greene
