Lab tour and intro to my million dollar mass spec we use to do cool /science and make next-gen cancer immunotherapy drugs. Sorry for the noise, I didn’t mention it but mass specs are under vacuum and use nitrogen gas so there is a ton of ambient noise around them, I usually wear headphones.

Wow that’s soo frikken cool to get to use a mass spectrometer, is it expensive to run? I would imagine there’s a lot of work lined up for it like a “busy schedule”…🤔 Can it Dede t anything, or is it programmed for a specific range of molecules??🧐 (but it would be cool to be able to run different items & see what’s really in different things like random candies, or a piece of antique jewelry, or a cigarette etc.)😅

Thanks for showing us. Super interesting, labs being closed spaces are often somewhat of an enigma to the public. This kind of video helps us explain why the money is needed and the sheer complexity of these experiments. My sister and brother in law work for GSK designing asthma medication. As someone that studied science but never worked in a lab, i always find it fascinating to see ‘behind the curtain’!

Great video, I think most people are familiar with the term mass spec if you watch enough CSI episodes but it's way cooler to see them in action and unlike on TV, you actually have to wait for the results 😂.
