I can’t get into sports unless there’s a story - an underdog, wild upbringing, total transformation, or something personal something that makes me root for someone. Can someone please give me a reason to care about Rory vs Rose?!

Rory just won a Grand Slam — very few to ever do it (last one was Tiger in 2000). He came close to winning the Masters in 2011. Also — these are 2 of the older players compared to the rest of the field — one of the young bucks was expected to win. And any time there’s a tie and “overtime” it’s exciting!

i totally agree! this is also a huge problem with track and field too i think its harder for individual sports sometimes a team is an easier story

Also, golf feels like a rich white guy sport. Looks boring to watch, maybe fun to play though.
