It’s human nature I think

We love patterns and we over invest in successful ones

Blind spots then emerge and the cycle starts from scratch again

Do you think the dilemma is in perpetual existence or comes and goes?

I don’t think the battle is internal (crypto old guard vs new guard)

Reason being crypto incumbents are rare — nobody is established enough, though there are some exceptions like Bitcoin and Tether 

It’s with true incumbents - old world financial and information services

The question is: are existing crypto folks the first-movers? Or are they incumbents (burdened by the knowledge and experience of "infra")?

Excited for a new class of builders that actually focus on consumers versus trying to build a "consumer app" with all their technical toys

It's harder & less valued than infra so it's not worthwhile for sane folks

We gotta kill the fat protocol thesis before

The very thing that makes it hard makes it worthwhile.
