Does anyone have a recommendation for a digital interactive device suitable for a toddler? Non phone/non iPad

Context is we're in US suburbia for a short while with extended family and my son is not at all used to going everywhere in a car — as a DC city kid we walked everywhere

So I need something to occupy him for 5-10 mins as we go from A to B

How old is the toddler? 
There are a lot of “games” you can play with him/her. Have you tried not placing in front of a surrogate entertainer?  5/10 min are nothing. Just play with him finding a car with a particular color. or a lady with a red dress. The one who finds it wins. Your imagination is the only limit.

Yes I usually do this if there is someone else, usually my wife, driving

But it's just me and kid for a bit, and it's a little more challenging to keep him entertained and keep my eyes on the road at the same time

He's nearly two
