Does anyone have a recommendation for a digital interactive device suitable for a toddler? Non phone/non iPad Context is we're in US suburbia for a short while with extended family and my son is not at all used to going everywhere in a car — as a DC city kid we walked everywhere So I need something to occupy him for 5-10 mins as we go from A to B

Maybe a Yoto player? Friends who are parents say good things!

How old is the toddler? There are a lot of “games” you can play with him/her. Have you tried not placing in front of a surrogate entertainer? 5/10 min are nothing. Just play with him finding a car with a particular color. or a lady with a red dress. The one who finds it wins. Your imagination is the only limit.

10mins? The little guy will entertain himself by looking at things, no?

Hey, funny you ask. Just yesterday I downloaded a few games for our old Nintendo Switch: "Animals for Toddlers" and "Early Learning Games for Kids, Toddlers, and Babies". Just gave her the screen without the controllers. Does the trick.

This one is one we got gifted. We actually tell our daughter that Scout lives in the car so she only plays with Scout when she’s in the car seat https://a.co/d/ePEUwOe

If they are old enough. Id suggest to get them one of those erasable drawing pads. (Like a modern etch e sketch) Or if younger. One of the “coloring books” where you draw with water and the page gets colored. And car snacks.
