Not possible because if you change the meaning the other person’s reaction and reply don’t change. “I hate [bad thing]” -> “I love [bad thing]”

What about “cast edited” mark similar to the Reddit ones - problem solved

Massive amount of complexity for not much gain. Typos are fine. I have them all the time. Additionally, your reaction is cryptographically tied to a specific cast that has a cryptographic signature. If that changes the reaction is no longer valid. So doesn’t work at the protocol level.
