One thing I learned living in the Pacific is that whenever there is a massive earthquake, soon there will be more, often on the other side of the world Had been expecting to get hit all day today after the Aomori quake in Japan and just read about the disaster in Venezuela and the shake earlier this morning in NoCal If you live in an earthquake country - always pay attention to what’s happening elsewhere in the world

Pausing my break for a sec to wish myself a happy Japanniversary today 🥳 Thought I’d share here since a lot of casters have witnessed the beginning of this journey ✔️365 days of learning on the apps (wrapping A2 within a month or so) ✔️LEVEL 1 of Japanese school completed as of last week ✔️Currently, at WaniKani Level 12 (that’s about 1/5 or the most used kanji) ✔️Started watching (and enjoying) anime and going to cultural events ✔️Did karaoke in 日本語 with the Japanese execs 😅 Future plans: - Work on my accent with a phonetics coach - LEVEL 2 of school - Take the JPLT exam in Dec (the July one is not offered in the US) おめでとうございます もっと頑張ります
