I’m tempted to run the unfollow everyone script 

Because tinkering with programmable social was fun in the early days and I want to bring that feeling back 

And because I feel like I also need a reset

But I know when I refollow people I’ll miss people I care about as collateral damage and that breaks my heart a little bit

I did it. I assumed I while organically see people again. I did not.  But I was able to rebuild my following by seeing who conversed with me. 

No regrets.

Just had a realization that maybe I’m fantasizing about doing this bc I’d rather be in an IDE than doing what I told myself I needed to do this week which is learn how to make clips for gmfarcaster 🫣

It’s a reversible decision

It was quite prevalent in the feed. It shifted my whole perspective. 

I was sold this narrative that if I didn’t like my feed, it was my own fault because of who I followed, and when I followed no one, I could clearly see everything that the algorithm was inserting into the home feed how much I dislike it and now that we have following, I use that almost exclusively unless I’m doing an experiment

It was fascinating to see what the algo wanted me to see when I followed no one. I learned a lot honestly. 

I think everyone should do it.
