I'm Gen X. I'm guessing younger generations mostly would be baffled by the notion of a TV newsmagazine unless they're news junkies or have journalism or journalism-adjacent experience. It just doesn't seem like a popular format in the era of TikTok and Instagram — more like some moldering relic of the fax machine heyday.
