📣 @perl game format survey 🎩 will tip $DEGEN to good answers reply with your favorite & why 1. top cast: one top liked cast of the day. 2. average: average of all likes per cast that day 3. range: like counts have to land within a range (e.g. 1400-1600)

I think the @perl quality has been diluted over time (too much setups in 1 day, making same people repeatedly main characters). What makes a format work is mostly defined by the 'people' you select against each other and an engaging, no spam task. For that reason 1. 2, 3 seem also a bit complicated. Simplicity wins.

Top cast is the best in terms of trust because with just one cast we can all see someone's quality but in a game I prefer number 3 range: the cast must be in a certain like range because this will be a challenge for the players and the chance of losing or winning it's 50:50.

What I like about 1 & 2 is that they (should, at least) put the burden of winning on the community, not the caster.

So… I went against my personal policy and read others answers before replying to this type of question. Glad I did so. My first inclination was 3 because more people had chance. But I’ve been swayed to 1. Quality counts.

Surely 1. Focus on the quality not quantity.

1. It gives the caster an ability to cast something more meaningful, engaging and the quotes or casts in response could be just as engaging as well. Gamify, quality and high engagement.

1. Top cast. The likes on their most popular of the day; that encourages quality + doesn’t reward non-unique likes. Or total unique likers across all casts, incentivizing who generates the most separate people to engage.

1. top cast i think it is the better over the other two because average would be bad because the user have to make quality casts only and leave no room for just shitcasting. For range, the user can spam all over the place. So i think top cast is the best one 500 $DEGEN

Personally I like 3.range, I feel like it's the most gamified out of the 3, and need strategy to be achieved properly.

My favorite is top cast, because: 1. It'll reduce the pressure for the mentioned caster, he/she don't have to break the usual post routine for the game. 2. Player don't need to follow all posts from mentioned caster during the whole day. This will ensure the norms of Farcaster and the quality of the game!

Average cast Top cast is too volatile and less predictable, makes the game less fun and way more different than it used to be. But average cast also keeps contestants in check, and prevents spam casting.

I will go with "Range". 👍 🍿 Unlike "Top Cast" where the winner is clear-cut, betting on likes introduces an element of uncertainty, which makes it more exciting. It is impossible to predict exactly how many likes a cast will receive, so betting on this event provides a sense of thrill and risk.

I honestly wanted to say that perl game is becoming more and more boring everyday with same main characters at play. Also three games a day is a nah. One game a day was a perfect balance. Also counting likes is getting boring. Engage with other games maybe, like /yoink to predict ranks etc or /farcastles
