Wrapped up Season 1 of Mr. Robot which was OK, Fight Club for programmers, mostly just background TV while I do other things. 3 Episodes in on season 2 and it's fallen off a cliff. Unwatchable. Does it get better or should I move on?

It's worth powering through in that others better again but it's not like the most incredible thing ever or anything. Felt about 1 season too long over the course of the whole thing

I felt the exact same way. Season 1 was good. Slightly above average imo, but season 2 was just unwatchable. From the comments here, it appears it gets better. Might try re-watching it myself.

Season 1 was worth watching till the end. But I started losing interest in 2. But I stayed till the end of the series.

Unwatchable is too harsh a word for a series shot and written with enviable craftsmanship. It is definitely a series that takes its liberties a lot, does not necessarily want to please the viewer (also because the consumer is the first enemy of the message the opera wants to carry) and aims for the unusual to break away from any format already seen. That said, being a rare gem in the commercial landscape, it is worth carrying it through to the end.
