Something has occurred here that I really can’t believe took me this long to realize.
In this moment of the greatest crisis the network has ever faced we have been given the tools to save it. I know a number of people here are invested in moving the ship forward and want to do so in way that ensure we have a stable footing for the next chapter. There are a lot opinions on the priorities to achieve that.
But all of it doesn’t matter if the network itself dies.
With the client being open sourced and with @cassie having built the apis to run a barebones version we can build the client pointed at hypersnap instead of neynar and it will become robust to pretty much any outcome.
There are risks with this approach but it does ensure that the network will live on, that the graph will become anti fragile, that we can keep our friends together in one place.
We have everything we need now, the burden is on us to ensure that nobody can come and take it from us.
Then we can talk about growth.

It's a terrible outcome but we all know how hard it is and have been to try and right the ship. The accomplishments around taking what's here and getting the cost as low as they are is impressive. My hope is that it lands somewhere that open source can push it further but this may also mean the true end of the network. Either way it's been a wild ride and I will be here if and until the network goes dark.
Long live Farcaster.

While drafting a cast on Farcaster client for web. "Try again" does nothing. I can't get what I was writing back.
For such a core client feature, how and why is such a state even possible to reach?? @neynar

Consistently triggering network issues while adding people to a new Starter Pack. Happening on both web and mobile. I think this is a longstanding bug from when Starter Packs were first introduced. @neynar

"from:@username in:/channel" search has definitely been possible for a while now. Just really inconsistently displayed for some reason depending what screen you're triggering it from.
