Stay safe out there. This "VC" tried to make us install some dodgy AI video conference app, presumably for translation, but this is definitely a wallet drainer

The initial shock/fear associated with these fake Pegasus email scams wears off after you get about 10 of them.

I have received 5 of these in the last two weeks. Sent to 2 active email addresses, the body includes my name, address, phone number and the attachment theoretically includes a ransom note and a picture of my house.
Here starts the trials of trying to scrub my contact info from the internet.

I got the Pegasus email scam today with a grainy older picture of my home obviously from Google Earth and a demand for money. I admit for a split second my husband and I were freaked out until we did further research. Have you heard of this one? https://www.malwarebytes.com/blog/news/2024/09/hello-pervert-sextortion-scam-includes-new-threat-of-pegasus-and-a-picture-of-your-home

Stay away from this account or any other related to the video game Silent Down Metaworld.
They are well-spoken and give convincing rebuttals to scam related questions.
I was asked to write music for the game and we had a decent conversation over a few days.
They said they want me to take sound samples from the game to use in the music.
I found out from other people that they run a virus when you download the game.
I know not to download stuff, but I was almost led into it because of the rapport-building long game they played.
Stay skeptical and stay safe.
