Have you ever read a book so good you’re compelled to start a book club just to force other people to read it and talk about it with you?

Readcast will be shutting down. Pinata is sunsetting its Farcaster API, and both the cost and effort of migrating to another Farcaster API doesn't make sense for a project with no real usage.
If you are using Readcast, I'm sorry! This was a fun side project, but there are many other book tracking projects on the market. I like both Hardcover and Storygraph.
I expect the app to stop functioning by mid April.

ReadCast is finally live on the App Store! You can sign in with Warpcast or with Apple. If you are using Apple, your comments about books won’t be published to Farcaster. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/readcast/id6476469109

The updated ReadCast app is live on TestFlight now. I gave up on the hypersub idea, so if you want access, just let me know and I’ll hook you up. I’ll be submitting to the App Store this upcoming week.

I’m thinking about other sources for getting book comments and reviews for ReadCast. Threads doesn’t yet have a GET API, but that’d be a good source. Mastodon maybe? Any other ideas?

Expanding ReadCast beyond just Warpcast which means I need to add a new auth method. Got Sign in with Apple working in SwiftUI today.
