I’m happy it’s almost Friday (a day I usually hate) because this climate week nyc was especially busy. I couldn’t wait to be in my office today to get stuff done but was interrupted by an investor and a friend who wanted to pop by. Only one did. Threw the late afternoon off. I know I shouldn’t complain but I need quiet boredom to get things done. ✅

I will never forget
This is my 9/11 story
It was my first week of high school in Brooklyn, New York. A handful of miles at most, from the WTC. I was 14 years old. I was a freshman, so my school schedule started somewhat late around 9:45 am.
I saw the towers get struck before I had left home for the day, my mom called the school to make sure that it was open and they said everything is as usual. So I got on the bus and went to school, expecting that the fires in the towers would be put out and loss of life would be "minimal."
I arrived a bit early for my first class so I headed to the cafeteria below the school to waste some time. All of a sudden a dozen or so teachers started running through the cafeteria and screaming "everyone out there is a bomb in the building"
In a panic everyone rushed for the exits. Somehow they got 4000+ students outside in under 10 minutes. Police, firemen, and bomb squads were rushed into the building in search of explosives as teachers led all 4k of us several blocks down...
