Someone created an AI job search system for Claude Code that scored 700+ job applications and actually got him a job. It's now open-source. It scans multiple company career pages, rewrites your CV per job, and even fills application forms. The repo has: • 14 skill modes (evaluate, scan, PDF) • Go terminal dashboard • ATS-optimized PDF generation via Playwright • 45+ companies pre-configured (Anthropic, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Stripe.) https://github.com/santifer/career-ops

I think it's fair to say that not every job-listing means someone is actually hiring 🤠 The stats are deadly - aprox. 80% of advertised positions never get filled 🚨 Work you network rather than job sites 💪 https://x.com/top7ico/status/2038662257463140451?s=20

Not my skillset but this role came up during my search — they explicitly mention the candidate should live on Farcaster. Someone in my network must be a good fit? https://wellfound.com/jobs/4025167-investment-associate-venture-scout-web3

"You Are Not Your Job" ➡️ TLDR; Identifying oneself by a job title, like 'software engineer,' is becoming increasingly fragile as technology advances, akin to calculators in 1950. The fear associated with job displacement is less about losing a title and more about losing one's constructed narrative of self-identity. Humans are storytelling beings who build societies, cultures, and religions through collective narratives, and use labor to construct personal identity. Identifying with one's labor, "I am what I do," is a narrative construct, no more inherently true than "I am what I eat." Human interaction involves assessing warmth (intent) before competence (capability), prioritizing safety and well-being. Capitalism's automation of labor, while efficient, displaces human roles without necessarily devaluing the individual's intrinsic worth. Material needs and well-being are important but are dependent on social and political structures, not solely on individual productivity. Qualities like warmth, empathy, presence, and the ability to make others feel understood are uniquely human and cannot be automated. Meaning in life is found in 'I-You' relationships, characterized by mutual recognition of the other as a whole self, rather than 'I-It' transactional interactions. Regrets at the end of life typically concern relationships and not living authentically, highlighting that human value is rooted in connection, not career achievement. https://jry.io/writing/you-are-not-your-job/

Thinking about moving to Portugal. Had a chance to check it out a while back and it’s a good vibe. Seems pretty easy for Canadians to get in there too. Would love some recs for European companies that hire foreigners where operating out of Lisbon would be a viable option 🙏

Are you looking for a job or considering a career pivot? Want to build something in Claude Code to help you make better decisions? I'm running a free virtual workshop on March 3 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. ET with Girls Who Code about how to "Build A Career Decision Engine" with Claude Code. What we'll do: Take your resume, bio, or portfolio -- and a career decision you're thinking about -- then build a real-time AI-powered "decision engine" to help you think through it What you'll need: It'll be best if you prep a few materials beforehand (ie: your resume, portfolio, cover letters, etc.) so we can practice teaching the AI about yourself. And also best if you have a real decision to make (ie: "should I go to grad school?" or "is this job a good fit for me?") Details and sign up link here: https://events.zoom.us/ev/Aq0gXUyFlgnueQuo0RCkC4sdzktvF5E8EC3jn88WJAETUJbjtUZw~Al1Fs1GTD1tlZwmOYDIobendw_cFhg-PVCMkF6SnWYa5l5aVGiRXa7jPxA
