@yanowitz enjoyed the pod, but you made a claim that OpenSocial has more DAUs than Farcaster. I was surprised by this and tried signing up on their most popular app "SoMon". Here's what SoMon looks like after signing in: It's point farming. They promise free tokens for a daily check-in. How is this not grossly misleading? The majority of users according to their own Dune dashboard are from Indonesia & Vietnam...where Axie Infinity & Worldcoin are also popular. How many genuine DAUs are using this platform as a social medium, and not just because of the airdrops? @yanowitz completely agree with your take about conferences. I'm quite sure that most of the side events would fit into the main conference building. It would make it easier to hop from one to another and meet more people. We need to defragment it!

I am glad that I am not the only one terrified by sharks. I can handle spiders, snakes... whatever. But if I saw a shark, I would be dead in a second. I never feel good in open water...

Loved this chart on the Blockworks research newsletter. Revenue for the basket of DeFi leaders has never been the highest, even with market prices flat/down for the past couple of months. Revenue multiple at 24x. Still high, but lowest it’s ever been.
