Is "Cancel Culture" Actually Saving Us from Ourselves?
We hear endlessly about the dangers of "cancel culture", how it stifles free speech, ruins careers and creates an overly sensitive society. But what if, just maybe, it's doing exactly what it's supposed to? What if the fear of public accountability is the only thing truly pushing powerful individuals and corporations to finally address systemic issues and discriminatory behavior they'd otherwise ignore? Is it censorship, or simply a long-overdue consequence for actions that were once swept under the rug?
