as someone who works in property law/management, i don’t understand the idea behind increasing rent without any infrastructural changes/development. like what’s the logic? i don’t want to ask my boss cos i don’t want to feel stupid but i really don’t understand the concept.

Logic ?? In this country No ooo Property prices are simply increasing because people want more money as naira is rubbish and idk why we don’t have agencies that regulate this stuff (I’m sure we do but looks like they are not doing anything about it)

most increments are because there is rent review clause in the tenancy agreement. And most landlords base the increment on economic factors or the changing market value of the property and not necessarily because there has been any infrastructural improvement…..(1/2)
