If it's shared, we men really dgaf about bathroom etiquette until we start sharing a house or a room with a gf and then we have to be trained about those etiquette tbh.

I think it's mostly based on what they expect from other people. It could also be based on their own threshold for cleanliness. It's quite insightful to know that most people dgaf about others and they generally have a self interested outlook and probably will never change. This is all part of the human experience. Enjoy!
