In the future, every app will have an embedded wallet It's just an easier, lower-cost way to send and receive payments online (especially as stablecoins grow in prevalence) Doubly true for tools that let anyone, anywhere build and sell products. Eg a 16yo vibe codes a cool app that people around the world are willing to pay $3/month for? Far easier to spin up a wallet than navigate the financial sausage of current international payments + banking

Lmao so let me recap Me: We have too many wallets (mainly bc of embedded wallet providers) You: Embedded wallets easily solve this Me: How? You: Check out Turnkey (key management software allowing embedded wallet providers / apps to build their own wallet infra to create more wallets) this makes no sense

I did read it, and I disagree that it’ll remain a persistent problem You’re describing a snapshot in time, I’m trying to encourage you to be more optimistic about the hard working teams that have solutions in the pipeline! But if you’re convinced these teams aren’t working as hard as I think they are, that’s entirely your call. And maybe it’s even a problem you could try to solve!

alana - i think you're a smart person, i know you mean well, and i know you want to support your portco turnkey i chose them as a customer bc they solved our need for "a wallet for every agent" at /presto i don’t think garrett or i are "convinced these teams aren't working as hard as [you] think they are" - in fact, quite the opposite: they're working *very* hard, but possibly on the wrong things to achieve the vision we all want them to achieve (great UX for money movement online) what we're both trying to tell you is: 1. the way embedded wallet providers entered the market *is the reason* the wallet interop problem exists; this wasn't an issue when everything was either an EOA or multi-sig, but now it exists bc they're all smart contracts with different intricacies / no standardization 2. solving the problem in (1) is putting a band aid on an issue that literally didn't exist before they showed up we can be as optimistic as we want, but that won't solve the root problem
