another year trying to celebrate my birthday, only to realize it's too soon and i don't have the energy to make things happen now.

also — is it just me, or does planning your own birthday feel like the most narcissistic thing ever?
not sure i'll ever manage to pull off something for any of mine, lol.

When you get older, all the excitement of celebrating your birthday disappears, at least for me. So, how old are you now?

i lost all excitement about celebrating my birthday at like 12 years old, lmao.

I am 31 years old, and I already consider this day as an opportunity to relax and celebrate with my immediate family and close friends.

And all those birthday parties really did end when I was 15-17 😆
