because i have a reputation and network here that i have invested two years of my life in creating

I think that this is one way where the Farcaster social graph/underlying infrastructure vs the Farcaster (Warpcast?) interface/experience is an important nuance, as others can & are building out upon the infrastructure in different ways....

Yes, but ideally you'd also have platforms that don't try to lock you in but rather empower you (by seamlessly integrating into your digital identity)

so that when you no longer want to use the platform you don't lose your data/social graph

If the center of your following/attention/energy is on someone else's social media platform, you're in trouble if they change the rules

If you build your own space/platform/blog/email list/newsletter/empire that isn't centered on a single external social platform, you're in a stronger position, b/c you can have resilience across the different platforms as well as your owned space/empire
